Rehabilitation services at Intercommunity Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center are designed to assist individuals recovering from injury, illness, or surgery. Our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team works closely with nursing staff and physicians to develop individualized care plans that support functional improvement, mobility, and independence.
Therapy programs are tailored to each patient’s clinical needs, abilities, and recovery goals, with a focus on facilitating a safe and successful transition back to the community whenever possible.
Physical therapy focuses on improving strength, balance, endurance, and mobility. Treatment plans are designed to help patients regain functional movement, reduce fall risk, and increase confidence with daily activities.
Occupational therapy supports patients in regaining the skills needed for daily living. Therapists work on activities such as dressing, bathing, self-care, and safe use of adaptive equipment to promote independence at home.
Speech-language pathology services address communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders. Therapy is provided to support safe eating, effective communication, and improved cognitive functioning as appropriate.
Respiratory care services support patients with breathing disorders or complex respiratory needs. Care is coordinated with nursing and medical teams to ensure appropriate monitoring and treatment as ordered by the physician.
